Node.js Developer (Pretoria)

Purpose of the Job: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Node.js Developer to join our dynamic development team. As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and collaborate on delivering efficient and reliable solutions.


Key Outputs:

  • Developing and maintaining server-side applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
  • collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Implementing robust and efficient  APIs for seamless data exchange between server and client.
  • Designing and developing database schemes and models using MySQL and Redis database
  • Optimizing web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Conducting thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • participating in code review sessions to provide constructive feedback and ensure code quality
  • adopt coding security best practices in order to deliver secure applications.
  • troubleshooting and resolving production issues in a timely manner

Minimum Skills and Job Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years’ proven work experience as a Node.js Developer or similar
  • Experience in Retail (POS and Back office) required.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with front end technologies and java script frameworks
  • Experience with MySQL and Redis database
  • Knowledge of RESTFul APIs and web services
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.

    Problem Manager (Pretoria)


    Purpose of the Job: We are looking for a dynamic problem manager to join our team, in this role you will lead the investigation of reoccurring issues, provide data-driven insights, and collaborate with teams to resolve problems efficiently.


    Key Outputs:

    • Analyze ICT environments to identify trends and recurring issues, particularly for pharmaceutical clients.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights that enhance ICT operations.
    • Coordinate the management of major incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
    • Conduct root cause analysis, proactive trend monitoring, and report findings.
    • Create engaging PowerPoint presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations.
    • Provide guidance and training to teams, contributing to their development and knowledge growth.
    • Maintain and refine problem management standards and ensure alignment with company policies.
    • Escalate critical problems to ensure timely resolutions and minimize business disruptions.

     

     Minimum Skills Required & Job Specific Requirements:

    • 5+ years experience in problem management (Pharmaceutical environment beneficial)
    • IT diploma or relevant qualification
    • Certification: A+, N+
    • ITIL Certification advantageous
    • Experience with JIRA tracking and managing incidents and problems.
    • Proficiency in Excel, including V-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
    • Strong PowerPoint skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and provide ICT solutions-based insights.
    • Capability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
    • A solid understanding of computer systems and tech products.
